Electric motorcycle is a type of electric vehicle that uses a battery to drive the electric motor. The electric drive and control system consists of a driving motor, a power supply, and a speed control device for the motor. The other devices of electric motorcycles are basically the same as those of internal combustion engines. Types are divided into electric light motorcycles and electric ordinary motorcycles based on maximum speed or motor power.
The composition of an electric motorcycle includes: electric drive and control system, mechanical systems such as driving force transmission, and working devices for completing predetermined tasks. The electric drive and control system is the core of electric vehicles, and it is also the biggest difference from vehicles driven by internal combustion engines.
Electric two wheeled light motorcycles and electric two wheeled ordinary motorcycles are both motor vehicles, and they need to obtain a motor vehicle driving license with corresponding driving qualifications, and pay compulsory traffic insurance on the motorcycle license plate before they can be driven on the road.
